Things I've Learned This Month

I will be completely honest with all of you. The past month has been extremely difficult. My mother passed away on December 26th.

It has been one month now, and there is so much that I've learned about life.

1) Live life as if it were your last day. You never know when it will be your last.

2) Life will generally never be fair. Injustice is just apart of life, and sometimes, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. You can complain left and right, but it won't do you any good.

3) Avoiding all of the bumps in the road will lead you to lose control.

4) Tell the people you love that you love them every single day. You never know if you will have the opportunity to tell them again.

5) Don't let the sun set with anger in your soul. You never know if you will be given the opportunity to tell the person that you are sorry.

6) Have faith in God. God will answer your prayers. Maybe not directly or in the way you wanted God to, but He will.

7) It isn't worth it to be angry at someone for more than a minute. That's a minute of your happiness wasted to begin with. Plus, you will never be able to relive that minute again. Ever.

8) Always appreciate the things your parents do for you. They do want what's best for you. They brought you into this world. They want a better life for you. That's why you're here.

9) Sometimes, we have to grow up much faster than we expected. You may be 17 one day, then be 35 the next.

10) Your friends are those who love you for all of your pros, cons, and everything in between. They are infallible, and they are most certainly family. It doesn't matter if blood is involved or not.

  1. And, yes, you're free to plagarize anything. I plagarize from God.

  2. I have one, simple request. Puh-leeeze lemme nekk with you in Heaven.
